Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there has to be something that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, what was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Think about your daily life since it seems to be these days in terms of the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? a course in miracles Who is my source?” So once we discuss the last stage of the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It’s similar to making a big house of cards, stacking using one card following the other. Then a good wind arrives and poof, it’s just blown over. It can’t even stand a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It absolutely was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon the rest; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It surely comes down to the essence of who is my buddy? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you’re asking the question, “If someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. That is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There’s no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number 4, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s talking about thoughts. First He’s talking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You will see he’s wanting to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there’s no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that’s the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What sort of things would you purchase, these days?
